The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. Each event is a noncompetitive 3 to 5 mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it's most treatable.

Holy Spirit Mass, composed by Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen, commemorates the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation and celebrates the common ground shared by all people of God.

Six FREE Seminars Tuesday nights at 7:00pm, starting October 24 Middletown Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church 1811 Arnold Road, Jefferson, MD 21755 Topics Include… “David, Goliath, and the Valley of Elah” – “King Hezekiah in Jerusalem, King Sennacherib in Nineveh, and Their Great Clash at Lachish” – “Daniel and King Nebuchadnezzar in Mighty Babylon” – “Queen Esther, King Ahasuerus, and the Palaces of Susa and Persepolis” – “Jesus’ Miracles in Capernaum” – “Jesus, the Cross, and the Empty Tomb” If you’ve never heard these Bible stories before, check them out in 1 Samuel 17, 2 Kings 18-19, 2 Chronicles 32, Isaiah 36-37, Daniel 1-6, Esther (all of it!), Mark 1:16-2:12, and Mark 15-16. Presenter Celeste Voigt has excavated at archaeological sites in Israel, Jordan, and Cyprus. She earned a BA in Near Eastern Archaeology at Southern Adventist University and an MA in Archaeology at Andrews University.

Games and treats (with no tricks!) to get to know a great community service organization for girls in Montgomery County. The event will host interactive games, goodies both sweet and savory, and an opportunity to clean out your closet for a worthy cause. We are also accepting donations of baby clothes and items to support our state-wide service project of supporting The House of Ruth. Rainbow for Girls is for young woman between 6-21 are encouraged to take leadership positions, affect change in the community, and they get to travel across the State of Maryland (and the country!)
